Meet the new cast as Hi-5 hit the
road with their debut cinema release!
One of world’s most loved and
successful preschool children’s entertainment groups Hi-5 is about to hit the big screen. Hi-5’s Stevie and Lauren want you to share in the fun as they search
for three new cast members in their debut big screen cinema premiere Hi-5
Some Kind of Wonderful which opens nationally across Hoyts cinemas on Saturday March 23 – with tickets on
sale today. I will be hitting my nearest
cinema to watch this with the girls as well. At home when Hi-5 comes on TV they
will stand in front of it both dancing away, even though Hayley (5) is the
leader and Madison (2) often looks over to her bigger sister and copies her
killer dance moves. It is really sweet to watch so I would love to take them
along to the cinemas and watch them sing and dance along with other children.
The cinema release follows a worldwide search to find the best three young
Aussies to fill the big shoes of departing cast members Casey, Fely and Tim.

The cinema release features a step back in time looking at where it all
began in 1999 right up until the final announcement of the three new cast
members in 2013. Older audiences may remember the original cast members Nathan,
Charli, Tim, Kelli and Kathleen along with the departing cast members Casey,
Fely and Tim who return to judge the best of Australia’s talent throughout the
extensive audition process. Even I
remember the old team, and used to lust over Nathan as he was such a cutie, and
I think it was more the fact of how he just got on with the kids on the show
(gosh I miss him being on there.) Don’t get me wrong the new cast is great and
full of life which is what Hi-5 should be all about.
Parents will appreciate the tenacious
behind the scenes search for talented individuals who will connect, educate and
entertain the toughest audience in the world – preschoolers.
Hi-5 Some Kind of Wonderful provides a unique cinematic experience where children and
parents alike will sing along to their favourite Hi-5 songs throughout the feature as Stevie and Lauren take the
audience on a roller coaster ride of what the Hi-5 family is all about. I haven’t taken the kids together to the
movies yet so it will be good letting them be rather then sitting there telling
them to shush or be quiet.
Fresh from an extensive 2012 tour in
Asia, the Australian re-launch of the multi Logie and ARIA award winning Hi-5 stays true to its original premise
which is to encourage children to enjoy being active through dance, movement
and play.
The brand new cast were officially
announced on Saturday March 16 at a
VIP pre-screening event in Sydney at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter Cinemas along
with a special one-off live performance by the brand new cast.
