14-27 January 2013 -
Melbourne Park, VIC
Tickets
anywhere from $24.00- $90.00 for a ground pass singe day.
All TV’s and eyes turn to Melbourne Park come
January when the world-renowned Australia Open starts. What a great day to take
the kids out in the sun, or just go with mates to relax in the sun with a few
beverages. If you have seen the new revamped and renovated grounds they are
amazing, and a class of their own.
If the Aus Open didn’t do it for you last year
this year they have taken it a step further with these great new services to
hit Melbourne Park in 2013;
The Phone Valet, that’s right now you can keep
on them phones on to check scores around Melbourne Park, or just keep in the loop on Facebook (and check in everywhere you go, to make them friends
envious) without having to worry about them going flat. For only $5.00 You can
get your phone fully charged and ready to go. Services also include; having
your phone cleaned and wrapped for just ($10.00) and if you spend $100.00 at
any official Aus Open outlet onsite you receive the clean and wrap for free. So
why don’t you let the lovely staff at the Aus Open help you with them phone
needs.
Another amazing service, which I will be taking
advantage of is the Aus Open Merchandise Personalised Pressing Station.
Here the lovely staff will preserve the memory
by having the name, date and match attended on any t-shirt purchased from an
official Australian Open outlet at the exclusive Pressing Station while you
wait. For only $10.00. This would make a great gift for family and friends as
well, or to even send overseas to the tennis crazed loved ones.
If you are unable to get along to the Aus Open you can buy
all your merchandise needs online at
australianopenshop.com
There is also amazing merchandise for them
little tennis stars, check out Aus Opens ‘Hot Shots’ A very affordable range as
well.
And if you are wondering what Hot Shots is, it is a
program for primary school aged kids. It encourages them to learn the sport
through easy clinics and play. Your little kids will learn how to swing the
racquet, serve, rally and score. Im sure any child that is apart of this
program will learn to love the sport, as it looks like so much fun and
something my little ones will be apart of, as were very passionate about our
sport. In the past 12 months, more than 340,000 kids have enjoyed an MLC Tennis
Hot Shots experience. You never know your child may just be the next Alicia Molik or Rafael Nadal.
All you will hear me talking about in January is the Australian Open and I will post loads of our photos when we attend :)
