For me fitness was always about hitting the gym every single night, and with that came sacrificing time with my amazing family. I quickly learnt that I didn’t need a gym to pump iron and run the treadmill out, I could do this at home and with the kids.
I would also rely heavily on pre-workouts and supplements and have also quickly learnt that with this side of things even though I have my cert 3 in fitness and working through cert 4 I had no idea what was in these things and what I was putting in my body.
So I turned to the healthier side of things with a shot of coffee before gym and just changing my diet and eating habits, which has proved to be the right decision.
No more peeing out fluro colours, and having to go straight to the toilet during a workout or after a workout due to the side effects of a pre-workout.
Last year is where I was fully inspired to become a better, healthier me at The Fitness And Health Expo. Walking around with body builders and people that just looked amazing in them had me looking at myself in disgust. I actually had a moment very much like on the ad, where you look at your healthier you and then compare it to who you are, just wishing that you could be the healthier version of yourself.
Michelle Lewin who has grown to become my number one fitness inspiration!
For me this was my light bulb moment I and I sat in my car knowing I was going to do something about it and my blog would be the first starting point. Having my blog behind me and supporting me I knew I would have to change and do something not just talk about change.
Derek Boyer who is Australia's Greatest Strength Athlete and let me tell you this mans arms were bigger then my head!
The expo isn’t all about bodybuilding and all those things though trust me, there is everything from healthy food to supplements to help you get through your bulking or weight loss stages.
The Fitness & Health Expo will be held April 10-12 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. It’s open from 10am – 5pm daily with Friday open only to those who work within the fitness and health industry. Michael Klim who is an Olympic Gold swimmer was here supporting his wife's milk range.
This time around I will be leaving my jeans at home and going in my workout attire to make sure I can utilise this expo to the best of my ability.
Steve Cook and myself- who had a line bigger then Coles when they have a huge health food isle sale! I think personally this man was sent from God!
As you can tell in a lot of my photos I just look bleak, and not happy within myself! I hope this year you will see the changes I have made within myself.
If you would like to join me at the expo this year, I have been lucky enough to offer my viewers the chance to win 1 of 3 double passes.
All you have to do is tell me- “How would The Fitness Expo benefit your life?”
